For free: Those who wish to try your ability can simply flash this hex PSX hexcode ,
Cut the USB cable to expose the wires. There should be a total of 5 wires including the shield drain wire:Connect the chip like this:
USB cable-> Neo2 modchip
red wire
-> pin 1 Neo2
green wire -> pin 6 Neo2
black wire -> pin 8 Neo2
and install the ON/OFF switch between the PIN #6 (SCE signal out) wire *and* the PIN #6 PS2 solder point. (the FINAL Modchip.com PS2 chip will NOT work here since it needs to be activated via PIN #4 (power button).
You can still use you Neo 2 modchip to do it:
1. Cut the USB cable to expose the wires. There should be a total of 5 wires
including the shield drain wire:
red = data out VBUS
white = negative voltage D-
green = positive voltage D+
black = ground GND
silver = shielding wire/ drain wire
2. Connect pins as follows:
USB cable-> Neo2 modchip
1 red ->
pin 2 Neo2
3 green -> pin 1 Neo2
4 black -> pin 8 Neo2
3. Open up the PS2 and connect pin 3 of the USB on the PS2 board to 1mf
capacitor then to the pin connection of the point where the Neo2 pin 2 is
suppose to go.
4. You can also add the SPSD switch between the pin 2 of the USB cable to turn
it on and off.
